Dunkin’ Deuces :: 10/29 Edition

Your morning cup of links…

1 — World Series. Congrats to the Cards.

World Champion St. Louis Cardinals

St. Louis Beacon – ‎7 hours ago‎
The Cardinals never trailed again. Cardinals left fielder Allen Craig saves a home run with a leaping catch of a ball hit by the Rangers’ Nelson Cruz in the sixth inning. Photo by Sarah Conard | REUTERS St. Louis exhaled. Then it cheered.

2 — Gophers.  Football.  “Bronze pig is still worth fighting for“.  To me, this is the ultimate judgement on Coach Kill.  After a close week one loss to USC, nothing has gone right.  The Gophers have been embarrassed in first halves.  This is their last chance to win this year, vs Iowa.  Hopefully the Gophers can figure something out and pull out the W.

3.  Vikings. “Sky is the Limit for Christian Ponder on and off the field”.  Let’ see how he does in his second start.  His first one was certainly promising at a time when this franchise needs some hope.

4.  Twins.  “Twins’ free agents looking toward open season“.  Maybe they want to pull a Nicky Punto and find a place that pays them and wins the World Series.
