Dunkin’ Deuces :: 10/4 Edition

Your morning link of links on Midwest Sports to go with your coffee.

1 —  MLB Playoffs.  The Tigers, behind Verlander and Delmon Young defeated the New York Yankees and take a 2-1 game lead.  From Jerry Crasnick of ESPN “Justin Verlander grinds out big victory“.

2 –Vikings.  Btwice.  Two different coaching staffs, three different qb’s.  Doesn’t matter,  Berrian still doesn’t have the stats.  “Berrian claims he’s open, but stats still suffer” by Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune.

3 —  Gophers.  Coach Kill.  Patrick Reusse of espn1500.com brings up a great point, that Kill’s “rebuilding” resume really isn’t the same type of rebuilding needed here.  “NIU gets * on Kill’s Rebuilding Resume“.

4 — Wild.  Our first Wild posting.  They can’t sell out the Xcel Energy Center right now.  The self proclaimed state of hockey.  “Wild faces show-me state of hockey” by Michael Russo of the Star Tribune.

5 — Playoff baseball info.  Craig Robinson of Grantland.com gives us some cool graphs on the teams in the playoffs.  Check it out.  “An Infograph Baseball Playoffs Adventure“.

6 — Video of the Day.  From the “We don’t need you department”….Delmon Young
