DUNKIN’ DEUCES :: 9/28
— The Minnesota Twins avoid loss #100 by defeating the Kansas City Royals. Rene Tosoni hit a grand slam in the 6th inning to secure the win. Read more about the Twins in LaVelle E Neal III’s article with the Star Tribune here. Last game of the season is tonight.
— The Wolves shock alot of NBA folks and hire future hall of fame coach Rick Adelman. Wolves writer Jonah Ballow goes 1 on 1 with David Kahn in this video and article. Press conference today at 1pm.
— The Lynx will take on the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA finals starting Sunday night, 7:30 PM. More from Kare 11 here.
— MnDaily.com article on “Wishing Coach Kill Well“. Looks like Coach Kill is taking some extended time off after checking into the Mayo Clinic.
— Chip Scoggins of the Star Tribune writes on his blog “About that Berrian turnaround”. Many people close to the Vikings have predicted this be a bounce back year, but so far it is the same ole’ lack of production from BTwuz.
— Nice quick fantasy football article by Christopher Harris of ESPN.com, “Instant Impressions: Week 3”. The injuries in fantasy football land are crazy.
— Great article by Bill Simmons the Sports Guy on his website Grantland.com, “Welcome to Amnesty 2.0 in the NBA”. Team by team breakdown of bad contracts and renames it the “Curry Cure”. Brilliant.
— In perhaps the worst article ever written, and for Rick Reilly that’s impressive topping his own work, he writes about rules he makes up for people who wear jerseys. Is their a worse writer in the history of sports?
— Video Clip of the day…Highlights of former Vikings Chris Doleman from Vikings.com. Doleman will enter the Ring of Fame on October 23, 2011. Wow was he good. Video link here. Blog entry by Mike Wobschall of Vikings.com on Doleman and his career found here.
— Tweet of the day….
@Buster_ESPN: Since July 7, 2010, Mauer and Morneau have combined for one homer in Target Field, or two fewer than Rene Tosoni.
