Both teams come into Mall of America Field in Minneapolis, MN with a 0-1 record. Really this game is a pick ’em, but with the Vikings at home they are favored by 3 points. At this point, the Vikings aren’t good enough to suggest they could blow anyone out, and Vegas has this line spot on.
I look for the Vikings to try and grind out a home win by giving the ball to Adrian 20 times and using their tight ends on stick routes. The defense will look stout at times but also show its lack of depth, especially if EJ Henderson can’t play.
The betting public is 58% on the Bucs +3. Looks like there is quite a bit of action on the money line for Tampa Bay as well. That is not a bad play. If you’re going to take the +3, you might as well just take the Bucs to win. More value there.
I’ll take the Vikings -3 with a one unit bet. I predict a 27-23 Vikings victory. I expect the line to be riding the whole game.
Remember to those heading to the game today, there is an increase in security to enter so make sure you arrive early expecting the longer wait. More on this at Vikings.com here.
